Step key stock, sometimes called repair key stock, is commonly used when worn or damaged key ways have been repaired. Step Key stock is milled into a T-Shape design and is offered as Type 1 or Type 2. Type 1 is designed for use in key ways of repaired gears, sprockets, pulleys, and other hub assembly components. Type 2 is designed for use in repaired shaft key ways.
